On ‘awkwardness’ in Paper Visual Art

The excellent Paper Visual Art has just published a review-essay I wrote in response to the Hayward Touring exhibition Shonky: the Aesthetics of Awkwardness (which I saw at the MAC in Belfast). The piece is partly on the Shonky show and partly on a bunch of other awkward things that came to mind, from songs by Dua Lipa and Drake, to paintings by Amy Sillman and scenes from Bridesmaids.
